Our Special Visitor

Morgan is back at home with our family - at least for two weeks. She is vacationing at our house while Nancy is vacationing in Alaska.

It is so great to see her. When Joe first brought her in, Hope said, "Morgie is naked! She needs some clothes!" Maybe I will try a tutu on her. Maybe not. To be determined.

Happy 4th of July!!!

Picnic at the Beach

Today we went to a picnic at a house on the bay. We gathered up all of Hope's beach toys to take with us so that we could build an awesome sand castle. But, she didn't like walking in the sand. So much for the sand castle. She did have fun splashing around in the water though.

Summer Treat

Last evening we took Hope out for an ice cream treat.  She enjoyed her first ice cream cone.  Last year, she wasn't interested in ice cream and preferred fruit smoothies or snowballs.  She has since developed a sweet spot for the tasty treat.

The chocolate and sprinkles did not disappear - she just continually swapped cones with me.

 Juliana licked her hands instead of a cone.  She enjoyed the time outside.

Crib Shot

Juliana is still sleeping in the pack-n-play in our bedroom at night.  I love that she is so close.  But, since she is sleeping through the night pretty regularly now, I guess I need to think about moving her into her crib in her own room.  I have been laying her in her crib for a little bit of play time for the past couple of days so she gets used to it.  She likes to watch the animals on the mobile.

And here is Hope in the same place at about the same age.

Joe's cousin Mick, and his wife Abby, are expecting a little girl soon. (Go team pink!) The girls and I went to Abby's baby shower today. They plan to name their little one Jillian.




Is next up cousin Heather? She was happy to hold Juliana for a bit today.
