03.06.09

The big news this week is that I am officially scheduled for a C-Section on Friday, March 6, 2009 (03/06/09). Being the numbers geek that I am, I couldn't have picked a better date. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers that day.

Here is a sneak preview at our Baby Girl - her sonogram pictures from December 1, 2008. It's hard to believe that this was almost three months ago - the last trimester really has flown by.

Her nursery is complete with the exception of our glider which is being delivered this week (it will go in the empty corner in the third picture below). For those of you who are familiar with our house, we converted the upstairs pink bedroom into a neutral colored nursery. A little backwards I know, but it will still be suitable if we're ever fortunate enough for Baby Girl to become a big sister.

Only twelve days to go!

The Expansion

Before our family could expand, I had to do a "little" of that myself. Sharing these photos is one of the last things I really want to do, but it is how I got to where I am today. (I also hope that in the months following baby's arrival I can post photos going the other way)

2 months down, 7 to go. I was starting to see come small changes, although they probably weren't visible to the outside world.

Three and a half months down, five and a half to go - I have a little baby bump (although this top really did camouflage it a lot).

Past the half-way point and almost two thirds of the way there -five and a half months down, three and a half to go!

Seven months down, two to go !

Do you know a pregnant woman that wouldn't love the game "guess how much string it takes to wrap around my belly?"

She is still growing....eight months down, one to go. Apparently she (baby) could gain another two or three pounds from here (is there really room???) This photo was just taken this past week. I am actually looking forward to my hair thinning out after baby is born.

In the beginning.....a brief history

With our family expanding sometime in the next month or so, I thought it would be a good time to start our family blog.

Our family "officially" started when we married on September 24, 2005:

For our honeymoon, we went on a 12 night Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Celebrity cruise ship The Constellation.

Since then, we have been living a pretty typical life as a couple. We've been busy with life - work, home, pets, friends and family, etc.
We like to travel to the Outer Banks, NC for vacations.

After much patience, hope and prayers, we got pregnant in June 2008. And now the rest of the story begins......
