Cousin Time - Part 8 - Going Home Day

A few hours before I took the kids home, they took one last swim outside.  They would take buckets of water and dump down the slide to make their own kind of water slide.

 Joe made more snowballs.
I went upstairs to take a shower.  When I came back downstairs, this is what I found.
Leah and Hope watching our Momma and two baby deer.
After taking the kids home, we went to Kathy's house for a campfire.  Hope and Juliana roasted marshmallows.  Well, sort of.

Then Juliana got ready for bed.
Hope had such a great time with her cousins.  She was full of thank-yous for a fun time.  Juliana still looks in the back seat of the van and says, "No kids.  What happened?"

Cousin Time - Part 7 - Playtime

Jenna painting Juliana's fingernails.
We did a little frog hunting - but all we found was this little guy.
Leah, Jenna and Devin took turns holding him.

Juliana and Bailee playing on the new play set.
 Pool time
The kids would get wet, then run down and go down the slide.
Joe and Darvin ran the snowball stand.
It was a hot hot hot weekend - the snowballs were refreshing.
the youngest little one - she is determined to keep up with the older kids.
Saturday afternoon, Jenna went home with Kathy and Darvin.  And then there were five.  At about 100 degrees, it was too hot to swim - the water felt like bath water.
So we loaded the kids in the van.....
And went to see a matinee.  We saw Monsters University.  It was Juliana's first movie.  Juliana's attention span was about the length of the movie - too bad there were 20 - 25 minutes of previews in the beginning that used up some of it.  After the movie, we went to Ledo's for a pizza dinner.

Kathy, Davin and the kids checking out the shark's mouth,
 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 kids looking out to the harbor.
 Leah and Bailee
Back to the six.
Bailee, Leah and Devin checking out some fish and turtles.

Hope looking at the birds and trying to find the monkey in the jungle.
 Juliana checking out a tortoise.
My mom sent souvenir money for each of the kids, so they each got a new stuffed animal.

Cousin Time - Part 5 - Happy Fourth!

My sister came to visit for the fourth of July and her and Darvin brought Leah, Devin, Jenna and Bailee with them.  Hope was so excited to have her cousins at her house.

We cooked out and ate on the patio.  Joe sat with Juliana at the little table.
Hope is fascinated by alomst any living thing.  Here is a cool looking moth.
After we ate dinner, the kids played in the pool and under the sprinkler (in this picture, it is actually both).

Then everyone gathered round while Joe set of some small fireworks.

We had sparklers for the kids.
And then it was bed time.  Hope and Juliana wanted to sleep on the floor with Leah.  Leah didn't stay there all night.  Hope and Juliana slept in their sleeping bags on the floor for the next week.

Cousin Time - Part 4 - Playtime

My mom and I took Hope, Juliana, Jenna and Bailee to the playground.  We stopped at Subway to get a picnic lunch to eat before we played.
 Bailee
Jenna looked after Juliana a lot, as she usually does.
 Juliana loves the slide.
We took a walk to see a pond and watch some people fish.

One of the guys we saw fishing let Hope and Juliana touch a fish he had just caught.
Then we went to Jenna's house to see her chickens.

 Juliana got to feed them.
Then we took a walk down to my Grandma's.  Too bad it wasn't to see my Grandma.
 Hope - 2013

Hope - 2010 (this time we were going to see my Grandma)
